I'm pleased to announce the arrival of my first patterns! Now you can make your very own alpaca herd or a happy little horse.

Amy and I cooked these up during our Crabtree days (mega props to her for doing all the interior drawings!) and will be debuting the print versions at No Coast on December 5 and 6 and Craftsmas on December 7. The patterns are also available as a PDF download in my Etsy shop.
The print version of the pattern includes full-sized pattern pieces and detailed instructions folded together in a cute little half-letter-sized booklet. The PDF version also features full-sized pattern pieces and detailed instructions and is set up to be printed double-sided on standard letter-sized (A4) paper, landscape orientation.
To celebrate the new patterns and the launch of Plushroom Soup, I'm hosting a giveaway! Just leave a comment here about your favorite item to sew (or sculpt, or draw, or whichever craft medium you do best) and which of the two new patterns you'd prefer if you won. I'll randomly choose FIVE people to receive a print version of the pattern (if you prefer the PDF, that's fine too; just let me know!)âtwo readers will win the alpaca pattern, two will win the horse pattern, and one very lucky reader will win both! Winners will be announced on December 8.

Right now I'm enjoying making plush elephants, with bears coming at a very close second. I think it's the ears, they're fun to sew (you go round and round and round!) and to turn and I really like pressing them too, covering the ear with a towel, applying steam and then uncovering it all to reveal a lovely round ear. :D
I'd prefer the alpaca pattern, since alpacas are my favourite animals along with cats, elephants and bears. :)

I love stitching by hand, whether it be a softie or embroidery. I'm slowly learning to use a sewing machine, so that I can make childrens' quilts. :)
I would prefer the alpaca pattern, if I'm lucky enough to win one.
Take care, and have a great weekend!

Your new collection is wonderful!!! I love the little sea monster! As you know I like to knit (mainly scrafs and hats). I have also started doing some needle point, but I am a long way from your craftiness!!! (If I win I would like the alpaca, but they are both adorable!)

Three years ago my mom and I discovered quilting and during the winter we meet often to sew together with my aunts. Although I have done some other sewing outside of quilts, I've never tried anything stuffed. Having seen your creations, I'm excited to give it a go. I'm a fan of the horses.

HI! I love to sew monsters...im not super good at doing the realistic type creatures (why a pattern would totally rock!) But with monsters you can totally just go with it and if it doesnt turn out the way you planned....your the only one who knows! I love both patterns but I think I like the Alpaca!
